A reflection densitometer includes an optical assembly formed with an ellipsoidal internal reflecting surface receiving light from a specimen at a target region located at one focus of the ellipsoidal surface and directing light to a photodetector at the other focus. A light source is mounted concentrically within the ellipsoidal surface, coaxially with the target and photodetector.
A reflection densitometer comprising a light source for directing a beam of light onto a surface and a light transmission conduit for receiving and transmitting the light reflected from the surface along a predetermined path. The beam of light and the path lie substantially in the same plane. The beam forms a light angle with a reference line and the path forms a reading angle with the reference line. The light angle and the reading angle are maintained within predetermined ranges.
A reflection hologram is recorded in a photosensitive film on a substrate held in a support by interference between an illuminating beam and its return from a back reflector. A scanning device moves the beam from a laser angularly about a fixed apparent beam source position which remains stationary relative to the film to give improved hologram formation with the back reflector spaced from the film.
Apparatus for classifying articles according to their surface reflectivities including a conveyor for transporting articles, a light source for illuminating an article supported on the conveyor and plural light-dependent resistors positioned to receive light from the source reflected by an illuminated article. Electrical circuits connected to the resistors interpret the amount of light received thereby, and produce an output signal which is related to the reflectivity of the article's surface.
A reflection photomask includes a substrate having a surface; and a first reflection circuit pattern and a second reflection circuit pattern on the surface of the substrate so that light reflected from the first reflection circuit pattern is different in phase from light reflected from the second reflection circuit pattern.
The invention provides an improved reflection device comprising a tubular means enclosing a reflective element and arranged for mounting at desired level over a road surface at some distance from the road border. In the preferred embodiment, the tubular means has two open ends, and the reflective element has reflective material at both sides thereof and is arranged for being detachably inserted through a slot in the envelope wall of the tubular means. For eliminating or decreasing the risk of so...
In a reflection mask, there is formed at least one laminate structure comprising a high reflectivity portion, a middle portion and a high reflectivity portion. When there is a defect in the high reflectivity portion as the top layer, this high reflectivity portion and the underlying middle portion are removed in that defective position, thereby allowing the high reflectivity portion as the bottom layer to be exposed to repair the defect.
The invention relates to a reflection aid (1) intended to increase the ability of users to see, without the inconvenience of spectacles, for example when applying a make-up, which comprises an optical lens (3) capable of attachment to a mirror (4) of the kind in question by means of a fastening device (5). Said lens (3) is attached to the mirror attachment device (5) in such a way that the lens (3), when in the position (A) ready for use, can be set to the desired distance (L) from the mirror (4...
A reflector in a backlight module comprises a reflection layer and an electrical conduction layer. The conducting is installed on one side of a reflection layer, and is connected to the ground of the system. Thereby, when the reflector is applied to an edge-type or a direct-type backlight module, by grounding the electrical conduction layer, normal operations of devices in the backlight module will not be affected by electromagnetic interference (EMI) or electrostatic discharge (ESD).
A structure which is a plurality of vertical members with or without one or more vertical support members and with or without a bottom in a configuration which results in the prevention of the reflection of light rays and the prevention of the reflection of images from entering the eyes of viewers. This structure can be of any size and can be placed on horizontal or near horizontal surfaces at or near the bases of windows which are at angles from vertical for the purpose of eliminating reflected...
