Securing devices to be used with aircraft for securing the aircraft to the ground. The securing devices include a rear securing device operatively connected with the tail region of the fuselage of the aircraft and a pair of forward securing devices operatively connected with a wing extending laterally from the fuselage with the forward securing devices situated equidistant from the fuselage. The rear securing device has an expanded position extending and compressed between the fuselage and the g...
Novel mixed esters of isocyanuric acid have been prepared. These bis-(hydroxyphenylalkylene)alkyl isocyanurate compounds provide excellent stabilization for organic materials against oxidative, thermal and photochemical degradation. The stability of .alpha.-monoolefin homopolymers and copolymers is particularly enhanced by the use of stabilizing amounts of the bis-(hydroxybenzyl)isocyanurates.
Used lubricating oils, particularly those containing additives such as V. I. improvers, dispersants and the like, are reclaimed by a preliminary treat with a C.sub.4 to C.sub.5 aliphatic alcohol, which causes the separation of a layer of sludge which contains polar additives and oxidation products. The desludged oil is then subjected to conventional lubricating oil refining steps such as treatment with fuming sulfuric acid followed by neutralizing, washing, and clay treating steps. Alternatively...
A burner mechanism of used oil wherein the used oil of heated condition is compulsorily mixed with pressured oil, mixture of the used oil with the air is then filtered so as to convert the air voids in the mixture into finer particles, filtered mixture is then again compulsorily mixed with pressured air and is finally supplied to a burner element. The mechanism may advantageously be provided with a rotary mixed for a better mixing of air with used oil.

Apparatus for tracking an object within a plane area in space comprises means for scanning the area in non-parallel directions with flat beams of optical radiation and detecting radiation reflected from any object in the plane. A single flat beam is produced by causing a near-parallel beam of radiation from a laser to diverge in one plane only towards a rotatable multifaceted drum. Parts of each facet are reflective of the radiation and rotation of the drum causes the beam to scan the plane area...
An apparatus is described for cleaning the mortar and other protruding material from the surfaces of used building bricks. The apparatus has a perforate turntable with an expanded sheet metal lath removably supported thereon and substantially covering the turntable. The expanded sheet metal provides edges upon which the bricks are supported, so that these upstanding edges scrape the protruding material from the brick surfaces. An upstanding band surrounds the brick on the turntable to keep the b...
Therapeutic compositions for treating humans and animals comprising, in unit dosage form, a 4H-imidazo[1,2-a][1,4]-benzodiazepine of the Formula 1: ##SPC1## Wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 and R.sub.5 are hydrogen or alkyl of from 1 to 3 carbon atoms, inclusive; R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are hydrogen or halogen, including the pharmacologically acceptable acid addition salts thereof in combination with a pharmaceutical carrier. The compositions are useful in therapeutic treatment as a minor tranquilizer at...
Developing apparatus includes two endless bands each of which is horizontally disposed, carries a plurality of horizontally spaced magnets depending therefrom and traverses the path of a photoconductive sheet having a latent image thereon whereby to brush said sheet with an excess of developer carried by a first of said belt and magnets and subsequently to brush the developed sheet with magnetic carrier particles carried by the other of said belts and magnets thereon to thereby remove excess ton...
