A method and system for mapping nodes in an M.times.N torus interconnection fabric of nodes is provided. The method includes generating an observed mapping of the nodes in the interconnection fabric showing a location of a first node relative to an x-axis of the fabric and relative to a y-axis of the fabric, comparing the observed mapping of the nodes to a set of expected mappings, and identifying the expected mapping which is most similar to the observed mapping.

A flow through gas separation apparatus for a direct oxidation fuel cell system that incorporates a porous hydrophobic conduit having and inlet end through which anodic effluent flows is provided. Backpressure created at an outlet end of the conduit allows the carbon dioxide gas of the effluent to be driven through the porous openings of the conduit while un-reacted fuel and water mixture ultimately exits the flow through gas separation apparatus for re-circulation. The gas separation apparatus ...

A rotor assembly may include first rotor half, a first spring supported with the first rotor half, a second rotor half, and a second spring supported within the second rotor half, wherein the first rotor half and the second rotor half are adjoined to enclose the first and second springs. A coiled section of each spring may surround a rotor center pin. A contact arm positioned between the springs may include a non-circular opening. A method for assembling such a rotor assembly is further describe...

A heating device for the electromagnetic induction heating of a metal strip traveling in a specified direction. The device includes at least one electric coil arranged opposite at least one of the large surfaces of the strip so as to heat the latter by transverse magnetic flux induction, each coil being associated with at least one magnetic circuit. Each circuit is divided into a plurality of magnetically independent bars arranged parallel to the direction of travel of the strip. The bars may mo...

A system for allowing a shoe wearer to lean forwardly beyond his center of gravity by virtue of wearing a specially designed pair of shoes which will engage with a hitch member movably projectable through a stage surface. The shoes have a specially designed heel slot which can be detachably engaged with the hitch member by simply sliding the shoe wearer's foot forward, thereby engaging with the hitch member.
